Turtle Conservation is located in Apar Village inside the Northern District of Pariaman. It is one of the largest tourist destinations in Pariaman. Turtle Conservation harvests eggs that are in different stages of hatching. Usually the turtle eggs hatch within 58 days.
The species that are most successfully bred at the conservation are the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricate) and Enduring Turtles (Lepidhochelys olivacea). Tourist not only can see various species of turtles and nurseries, but they can also enjoy the beautiful beach and participate in releasing the hatchlings (baby turtles) to the sea
